DERMOTMALONE

I am a filmmaker based in Dublin, represented internationally for directing. I work predominantly in commercials, however have exciting drama projects in development, following on from my debut feature, KING FRANKIE (2024) having just released in cinemas.

I like to think that classical storytelling and garnering authentic performances are where my strengths lie and although I aspire to make film/TV throughout my career, I too have a genuine love of good advertising. I was also delighted to have been part of the judging panel for 'Film Craft' at the Kinsale Sharks of 2022 and The Immortal Awards 2023 +2024. I also judged craft at ICAD 2024.

Going into 2025, I am looking to explore more opportunities in directing commercials internationally, along with following up KING FRANKIE, with more exciting projects.

I am the proud founder of Banjoman, Ireland's 'Production Company of the Year' 2021 and 2022 at The Shark Awards and the 2024 'Immortals #1 Irish Production Company'. I am also the founder of BMan Entertainment, the film + tv sister company of Banjoman.
